Beth Osborne, M.Ed., BSW
Beth is the Co-Executive Director and Co-owner of H.O.P.E. (Helping Others Pursue Excellence). Beth began working with individuals with developmental disabilities at age 18 while attending Campbellsville University to obtain a Bachelor’s in social work. Beth worked as a case manager for individuals with developmental disabilities for 3 years, before earning a Master’s in Special Education. Beth worked as an Exceptional Child Instructor in Hardin and Marion Counties for 10 years. In 2011, Beth began providing positive behavior support services in the afternoons and on weekends to individuals receiving the MPW and SCL waiver. This new career path sparked an interest to start the process to open a company that provided quality and caring services through the MPW and SCL waiver programs; resulting in H.O.P.E. (Helping Others Pursue Excellence) beginning in 2017. In her free time, Beth enjoys traveling with her husband and 2 daughters, teaching Sunday School to 3-4-year-olds, and completing remodeling projects.

Tammy Mattingly, M.Ed., LPCC-S
Tammy is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor-supervisor as well the Co-Executive Director and Co-Owner at H.O.P.E. She obtained her Master of Education in Professional Counseling and Human Development from Lindsey Wilson College. Tammy is passionate about helping people pursue personal growth and meeting their goals. She enjoys working with the youth but also likes to work with adults. Tammy sees clients at the clinic, located in Lebanon. Tammy utilizes a variety of techniques and approaches in therapy. Most frequently she uses the EMDR therapeutic approach to address traumatic events, Cognitive behavior therapy, solution-focused therapy, and Psychodynamic therapy. Tammy believes everyone has the answers to their questions and problems they sometimes need assistance finding those answers. When she isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with her two children and traveling.

Brody Mattingly, CGC
Brody has completed his Therapy Dog certification for an emotional and social support animal. Brody’s mother is the Clinical Director and Co-Owner at H.O.P.E. Brody’s mother is excited to offer a different approach to treating mental health symptomology in a rural area. Brody enjoys lifting spirits and lessening anxious or depressed moods. Brody has experienced lowering feelings of isolation and encouraging communication with H.O.P.E. clients. Brody currently sees clients in the Marion County clinic; however, travels outside the clinic to continue doing what he loves the most, helping others when needed. In his free time, Brody enjoys playing fetch, getting belly rubs, and playing with his older brother, Katsuki.

Adrian “AJ” Ayala, B.A.
Adrian “AJ” Ayala is a 24′ graduate of Lindsey Wilson College. AJ graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Christian Ministries and is working towards getting his Master’s in Business Administration. He is very interested in working with adolescents and young adults to help them meet their full potential. AJ is a wrestler for Lindsey Wilson College and has wrestled for 8 years including collegiately. AJ shares that his experience with wrestling has assisted with his leadership skills of being able to positively lead, delegate, and effectively communicate, he wishes to use the wisdom he has gained from previous experiences to assist H.O.P.E. in the TRP summer camp. AJ is assisting this summer as a Peer Mentor with TRP, Camp H.O.P.E. He is very excited to broaden his work experience and knowledge by working with children, adolescents, and teenagers, as a peer mentor at camp.

Ben Carter, M.S., CSW
Ben graduated from Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2021. Ben attended the University of Kentucky where he completed his Master’s degree in Social Work with Clinical Certificate in 2023. Ben served in the US Army as an infantryman with the 4th Infantry Division from 2015 to 2019. Ben has completed one tour in Afghanistan in 2018. His current hobbies are running, coaching at CrossFit E2, attending the River of Life Church in Springfield, KY, and spending time with his wife Kristie, and daughter Rori. Ben shares that mental health through his observation is inexcusably misunderstood. Our world is ever-changing. The demand for individual responsibilities and required skills have exponentially increased function productively in the modern world. Ben believes in the idea of change and growth known as “The Matthew Principle.” Taken from the Gospel of Matthew, it can be summed up by saying that the person who has, will be given more, while the person who has not will have more taken from them. The small changes and steps we take over time lead to more opportunities in the direction of our choosing, whether we choose to move forward or backward. It all starts with a conversation.

Beverly T. Thomas is a Positive Behavior Support Specialist who works diligently with individuals to support behavioral skills development. Beverly’s experience, as a teacher working with students with a wide variety of special needs, has allowed her to grow in areas that support her career as a behavior specialist. She continues to enhance her knowledge as a behavior specialist by being open-minded and keeping up with the latest research and workshops addressing current developments with behavior issues. Beverly is married to John L. Thomas and they have two children, Matthew and Caroline. She has been blessed with three grandchildren. Beverly is a retired Exceptional Child teacher from the Marion Co Public School System. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Middle School Education from Campbellsville University. She went on to complete a fifth-year program in Special Education and a Master’s in Education Leadership both from Eastern Kentucky University.

Brandon is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor who completed his education at Lindsey Wilson College in 2017. Brandon received a Master of Education in Counseling and Human Development. Brandon believes that therapy isn’t necessarily something a person “needs” but more so a tool that one can use for progress and self-improvement. Brandon shares that clients can utilize the tool for improved awareness, greater perspective, and unlocking their potential. As many counselors believe and practice, Brandon shares he also embraces empathy and compassion in his approach to therapy as they are prerequisites to progress. Brandon has primarily worked with kids as a counselor but is looking to help more adults as he continues to grow in life. Outside of therapy, Brandon has a variety of interests from sports and gaming, to music and anime, and of course spending time with his lovely Wife, their daughter, and awesome dogs.

Brianna loves meeting people where they are and guiding them on their path to healing. Her counseling philosophy is that each person already has what they need inside of them, and her job is to provide them with the necessary support, empathy, and acceptance to help them facilitate change. Brianna is passionate about providing people with hope and connection, advocating for clients, raising awareness about mental health, helping people to feel heard, and working with people of all ages. In her free time, Brianna enjoys reading and spending time with her husband, baby girl, and two dogs.

Chelsea graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of Kentucky in 2021. Shortly after, Chelsea began her career as a 1st-grade elementary teacher, where she fell in love with working with children with developmental disabilities. Chelsea is pursuing a Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis at Eastern Kentucky University, where she is scheduled to graduate in August 2024. Chelsea has been an RBT for the past 10 months and shares that she loves watching clients make progress towards their goals each day. During her free time, she loves to read, bake, shop, and hang out with her husband, Slade, and their 2 dogs. Chelsea is also expecting a baby girl in October 2024. set.

Chonda Saettel recently graduated from Campbellsville University with a Master’s degree in Social Work. Chonda graduated from Lindsey Wilson College with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services and Counseling. Chonda has worked with clients ages 3 to 100 with various learning abilities, mental diagnoses, and substance use disorders. Dariann is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and the Clinic Director for counseling services at H.O.P.E. She obtained her Master of Education in Professional Counseling and Human Development from Lindsey Wilson College. Dariann has a passion for working with youth and for that reason, she is currently seeing clients in Adair, Green, and Marion County School districts. Aside from mental health, Dariann provides services to clients with behavioral needs and is a Positive Behavior Support Specialist. Dariann’s areas of interest include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Art-Based Interventions, and Solution-Focused therapy for treating Mental Health issues from Adjustment Disorders, ADHD, and Mood Disorders. Elisha was born and raised in Union City Michigan and found a love for Campbellsville while attending college at Campbellsville University in 2000. While attending Campbellsville University, she received a bachelor’s degree in P-5 education. She then went on to pursue a Master’s in School Counseling, a Rank 1 in Educational Leadership, and certificates for Supervisor of Curriculum and Instruction, Director of People Personal, and Superintendent. Throughout her career, she has served in various capacities including middle school social studies teacher, high school guidance counselor, middle school principal, elementary principal, and student support services supervisor. She is married to her college sweetheart Nathan and they reside in Elkhorn
with their three boys. Her mission in life is to make a difference in the lives of those around her and love like Jesus. In 2022, Elisha started working at HOPE providing Behavior Support for children and families. She believes in meeting every client where they are to unlock the potential inside of them and get them where they were created to be. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family at their farm and serving others.

Heather Hutchins, M.Ed., is a Positive Behavior Support Specialist for H.O.P.E. Heather is a former Exceptional Child Educator at Marion County Knight Academy in the Marion County Public School System. Heather first started working with students with disabilities at age 19 in an adapted Physical Education class while receiving her bachelor’s in Physical and Health Education at Berea College. Heather went on to work as an interventionist working with students struggling in the areas of Social Studies and Science at St. Charles Middle School while working on her Master’s Degree in Special Education at Campbellsville University. Upon completion of her Master’s degree, Heather was hired in the Marion County public school system as a Moderate/Severe Disabilities Teacher. This prompted Heather to continue her education receiving a Rank 1 from Eastern Kentucky University in Moderate to Severe Disabilities paired with an Autism Certification. While working on her Rank 1 Heather was hired at Home of the Innocents (2015) providing Behavior Support for Children and families receiving Michelle P. Waiver. In 2017, Heather started working at HOPE providing Behavior Support for Children and Families. Heather is currently working on becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Heather enjoys working hard to help individuals with different abilities reach their full potential. In her free time, Heather enjoys spending time outdoors and riding horses.

Jackie is the Billing Specialist for H.O.P.E. As our billing specialist she takes care of a variety of financial and non-financial tasks to help guarantee each client is receiving services. Jackie handles the processing of incoming payments along with the issuing of necessary paperwork. Jackie’s passion is to help others, and she loves being able to do that through her position at H.O.P.E. Aside from helping others; Jackie enjoys spending time with her husband and three children as well as her two dogs. She also enjoys outings with her friends.

Julia is coming to H.O.P.E. working part-time because Julia currently works full-time for Vocational Rehabilitation as a Counselor at Work Force Development. In March 2022, Julia obtained her license as a Professional Clinical Associate (LPCA.) Julia has facilitated groups for the National Alliance for Mental Illness (NAMI) and has over four years of experience as a Job Coach for a mental health facility. Julia has obtained an Associate Degree in Business,a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, and a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling. Julia will be seeing clients as a Mental Health Therapist and assisting the Targeted Case Management team by also working with clients as a Targeted Case Manager. Kayla is originally from Louisville, KY but relocated and now resides in Loretto, Ky. Kayla obtained her Bachelor’s degree from Eastern Kentucky University in 2018 and her Master of Arts in Applied Behavior Analysis paired with a certification in Autism from Ball State University in 2020. She is currently studying and planning to sit for her Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) exam. Kayla has been a practicing Registered Behavior Technician for three years utilizing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) with adolescents on the Autism Spectrum (ASD.) Kayla will be working as a Positive Behavior Support Specialist for H.O.P.E. Teresa Holbert, B.A.
Teresa is a strong advocate of community-based services. She has provided compassionate care and treatment for children and adults who struggle with mental, physical, or emotional challenges. While working on completing her Associate in Psychology/ Sociology/ Criminal Justice from Mid Michigan Community College, she volunteered as a court-appointed advocate for children who were victims of abuse and neglect. After receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Western Kentucky University, she began her career in community mental health; where she is trained and certified as a supervisor and trainer for providers of targeted case management, supported employment, and peer specialists. Teresa’s passion for quality mental health led to her volunteering as a board member for the National Alliance of Mental Illness (NAMI) for two years. Teresa currently works full-time in our Lebanon, KY office and is the supervisor for TCM services. Teresa has also been promoted to Chief Compliance Officer to oversee all departments at H..O.P.E.
